Join a Mailing List Service
The PCCH and HLN regularly e-mail important information or urgent messages to those in our network who subscribe to E-Pinellas.
What is a mailing list server? When e-mail is addressed to a mailing list server such as E-Pinellas, it is automatically broadcast to everyone on the list. The result is similar to a newsgroup or forum, except that the messages are transmitted as e-mail and are therefore available only to individuals on the list.
2-1-1 Tampa Bay Cares, Inc. has created E-Pinellas an Internet mailing list to help human service providers in Pinellas County communicate electronically. E-Pinellas is designed to help human service providers in Pinellas County find resources, ask questions, exchange information and tap the knowledge bank of human service professionals in over 800 human service agencies. Think of it as an electronic newsletter for human service professionals! Subscribers to E-Pinellas can post topics that communicate community information such as:
- Local training opportunities
- Volunteer management issues
- New programs/resources in the community
- Job opportunities at local human service agencies
- Potential grant/funding opportunities
- Coalition meeting dates and times
- Announcements for fundraising or open house events for local human service agencies
- Other related topics.
To subscribe to E-Pinellas, send an e-mail message to e-pinellas-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Leave the subject line blank. In the body of the mail message include the following words customized to your name:
Subscribe E-Pinellas first name last name (e.g. subscribe E-Pinellas Micki Thompson).
Once confirmed as an E-Pinellas subscriber, you may send messages absolutely free!To send an electronic message for other E-Pinellas subscribers, respond to a topic or post a message, address your message to e-pinellas@yahoogroups.com .
